The roller coater whose rotation direction of the coating roller is the same as the moving direction of the coated coil (or plate) is called the same direction roller coater. The same direction roller coater is suitable for low viscosity coatings, generally used for thin film coatings, and the film thickness is 10 ~ 20 μ m。 Generally, the coating speed shall not exceed 100M / min. if it exceeds 100M / min, the reverse roller coating machine shall be used. Compared with the reverse roller coater, the wear of the coating roller (rubber roller) is small.
(1) The reclaiming roller of this roller coater rotates in the same direction as the coating roller, the coating roller and the support roller. Actual speed adjustment ratio: Reclaiming roller / coating roller = 1.5 ~ 1.0, coating roller / support roller = 0.3 ~ 1.0. Adjust the film thickness by adjusting the gap between the coating viscosity and the rotating roller.
(2) The same direction roller coater for the top material plate is used. This roller coater supplies paint from the top. The rotation directions of the reclaiming roller and the adjusting roller, the adjusting roller and the coating roller, and the coating roller and the support roller are the same, and the peripheral speeds of the four rotating rollers are the same. The reverse roller coater can use high viscosity coating, which is suitable for thick film coating, and its viscosity can reach more than 120s (coating - 4 cups).

The coating roller and the supporting roller of the roller coater rotate in the opposite direction, but the reclaiming roller and the coating roller rotate in the same direction. Common circumferential speed ratio: coating roller / backup roller = 1.1 ~ 1.3, and the circumferential speed ratio for coating thixotropic coating is 1.5 ~ 1.6; Reclaiming roller / backup roller = 0.2 ~ 0.4. Compared with the same direction roller coater, this roller coater is suitable for thicker film coating with higher viscosity coating, and the film thickness can be obtained is 5 ~ 100 μ M (wet film). Adjust the film thickness by adjusting the gap between the reclaiming roller and the coating roller.
In the full reverse roller coater, the regulating roller, reclaiming roller, coating roller and support roller rotate in reverse. Common circumferential speed ratio: coating roller / backup roller = 1.2, reclaiming roller / coating roller = 1.2, adjusting roller / reclaiming roller = 0.05 ~ 0.2. The roller coater is suitable for coating with high viscosity and strong thixotropy and thick film coating. By adjusting the gap between the roller and the reclaimer, the thickness of 50 ~ 500 can be obtained μ M.
